Faith Centers are the local outreach arm of Houston’s First Baptist Church, strategically located in communities across the city of Houston. These ministry hubs offer tangible help and heartfelt hope through spiritual encouragement, education, resources, and partnerships. Whether meeting physical needs, sharing the Gospel, or building relationships, each center is a place where lives are impacted and Christ is made known.

Serving a richly diverse area in southwest Houston, Faith Center Harwin offers ESL classes, computer training, food distribution, and weekly Bible studies. It's a place of hospitality where neighbors — many of whom are new to the U.S. — are welcomed, supported, and connected to the love of Jesus.

This location focuses on family care and community strengthening through parenting classes, literacy programs, and practical assistance. In the heart of a vibrant neighborhood just west of the 610 Loop, Faith Center Spring Branch builds relationships with residents while sharing the hope found in Christ.

Through scheduled appointments, volunteers build caring relationships as they distribute groceries, clothing, and hygiene essentials while also offering prayer and encouragement. Our staff and PATHMAKERS (volunteers) lovingly and graciously extend both tangible help and the hope of Christ.

NOTE: By appointment only. To make an appointment to receive food and clothes, please call 713.554.8820 Tuesday - Thursday and Saturday from 9a-12p leave a message with your full name and phone number. Families will be able to come 60 days in between each visit.

Each Faith Center offers a unique mix of services based on the needs of its surrounding community—these may include ESL classes, food distribution, mentoring, Bible studies, and more.

You can volunteer individually or with a Life Bible Study group. Opportunities include teaching ESL, mentoring students, assisting with food distribution, or helping with events.

Yes! If you or someone you know needs assistance, each center has staff or volunteers ready to connect you with available resources and spiritual encouragement.

Each location has different hours and programming. To find out when a center is open or what’s happening that week, contact the Missions Office or visit the Faith Center directly.

Not at all. Faith Centers are open to the community and designed to meet needs and build relationships with anyone in the surrounding area.

Partner churches often meet at the centers for worship and serve the community through outreach, events, and ministry initiatives in collaboration with Faith Center teams
