True Girl Crazy Hair Tour: A Night of Truth, Joy, and Connection

In a world saturated with social media and ever-changing messages, it is easy for young girls to fall into the trap of comparison. Many grow up believing what the world says about them instead of embracing who our loving Father says they are. At the same time, many mothers long to connect with their daughters in meaningful ways - without feeling overbearing or “too much”- but are not always sure how to begin those conversations.

The True Girl Crazy Hair Tour creates a joyful, intentional space for moms and daughters to connect and talk about what truly matters: identity, confidence, truth, and Jesus. This tour, which stops at The Loop Campus on Thu, Feb 19, equips mothers to navigate important and sometimes difficult conversations with their daughters, all while having fun together.

The evening is filled with lively worship, exciting games, interactive moments, and authentic Bible teaching designed specifically for how girls ages 7–12 learn and connect. There is even an intermission for a break, conversation, or merchandise shopping. Whether a girl loves music, movement, talking, or fun themes, this experience offers something for everyone.

This is a night that aligns perfectly with the heart and vision of our Children’s Ministry. Preteen Associate Caroline Simpson explains:

At First Kids, we disciple children and their families to become growing, loving followers of Jesus Christ. We do this by being a gospel-transforming, disciple-making, and family-centered ministry. This night perfectly aligns with our hearts by focusing on the impact a mom can have on her daughter(s). This night is about formation, connection, and biblical truth for both moms and daughters. This goes beyond Sundays and Wednesdays and into the homes, much like Deuteronomy 6:6-9 asks of families.

If you’ve never been to a True Girl event before, you are in for a fun and unforgettable experience. This special night builds biblical confidence by presenting the Truth in a way that both moms and daughters can understand and want to remember. At the same time, it gives moms permission to feel like a kid again!

Imagine Vacation Bible School packed into one incredible evening! We are confident that every mom and daughter will leave feeling encouraged, connected, and uplifted.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (CSB)

These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your city gates.
