Prayer and Vision Nights Unveil Future for Houston’s First

At our recent Prayer and Vision Nights, our church family gathered to pray and learn what lies ahead for Houston’s First. During these events, Pastor Gregg and our campus pastors shared key updates about the direction God is opening for our church and announced our bold, two-year initiative, Kingdom Come.

One of the first updates shared was that our church has experienced remarkable growth across all campuses:

- The Loop (including en Español): 31%
- Cypress: 52%
Downtown: 23%
Sienna: 97%
Online: 25%

Overall, Houston’s First has seen a significant 40% increase. This growth represents families coming to know Christ, believers being baptized, and lives transformed through the power of the Gospel.

Through Kingdom Come, we will create new ways to enhance and expand our Gospel ministry, deepening our impact locally, sending the Good News farther than ever, and opening doors for new people to encounter Jesus, perhaps for the very first time.

Campus pastors emphasized that the primary goal of Kingdom Come is 100% engagement - where every church member participates through prayer, service, or giving - creating a unified approach that allows everyone to support the mission together.

The secondary goal of Kingdom Come is $150 million given over two years allocated to three vital areas: Our Commission, Our Community, and Our Compassion.

Our Commission — $109 million over two years — focuses on advancing the Great Commission through our Operating Budget, making our ongoing ministries possible, including ministries for all ages, Sunday worship experiences, missional efforts locally and globally, and operations and support for all campuses.

Our Community — $34 million over two years — focuses on advancing the Gospel impact of Houston’s First in our communities by expanding and improving facilities across all our church campuses. By growing and enhancing these spaces, we seek to faithfully minister to every generation, provide environments that nurture faith, and create places where lives are transformed in Christ.

Our Compassion — $7 million over two years — focuses on advancing the love of Christ by taking the Gospel across our city, our nation, and around the world. These efforts range from combating human trafficking in Houston and rescuing vulnerable girls in India to supporting pregnancy centers, adoption services, church planting in Los Angeles, missionary scholarships, and expanded Scripture translation projects.

As the evening concluded in prayer, the message was clear: the church is stepping forward in faith, trusting God to continue transforming lives locally and around the world through a shared vision and collective obedience.
